  • Old paperwork (the hard copy of the TMA form and part or all of the sticker from the sled) must be attached to new application form.
  • For a LOST TMA: If the individual has no proof of the "old documents" (TMA decal and TMA paperwork) the individual must obtain a copy of the original paperwork from the snowmobile club where the TMA was purchased. This copy must be sent to the VAST office and the VAST office will issue a new TMA to the exact same snowmobile as shown on the original paperwork. This replacement TMA can only be done through the VAST office. (New policy as of 2/21/11)
  • Record the old TMA number being replaced in the TMA replacement section of the new application form.
  • If upgrading TMA from Classic to a Regular TMA, the difference in cost between the Classic TMA and the regular TMA should be added to the $5 replacement fee and that total shown on the TMA Replacement line.

FYI!

What happens if I lose my TMA sticker?
According to VAST policy, set by the Board of Directors, if you lose your TMA sticker you need to go back to the club in which you purchased the TMA. There is a special box to use on the TMA application form. In the designated space you must list the number of the TMA being replaced, and the member copy of prior TMA must be presented, and attached to the replacement TMA form.  You need to have your hard copy of the TMA form to turn in so you will get a new sticker. There is a $5.00 replacement fee.
(New policy change as of  2/21/11)
If the individual has no proof of the "old documents" (TMA decal and TMA paperwork) the individual must obtain a copy of the original paperwork from the snowmobile club where the TMA was purchased. This copy and $5 must be sent to the VAST office. The VAST office will issue a new TMA to the exact same snowmobile as shown on the original paperwork. This replacement TMA can only be done through the VAST office.

What happens if I sell or trade-in my snowmobile?

What if I purchase a classic TMA and later on I buy a new snowmobile, can I transfer my Classic TMA?
